BreastScreen Victoria

1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime, with 75% of women diagnosed over the age of 50. A mammogram every 2 years is the best way to detect breast cancer early.

BreastScreen Victoria offers free breast cancer screening for eligible Victorians over 40, however we particularly invite women aged 50 – 74 years, as they are at most at risk of developing breast cancer

Appointments take 10 minutes, are with a female radiographer a doctor's referral is not needed.

Screening centres are located throughout Victoria including sites in Rosebud, Frankston, CBD, Dandenong, Berwick, Glen Waverley and Moorabbin Campus.
