Good Shepherd Youth and Family Service - Hastings

Good Shepherd Youth and Family Service - Peninsula provides family and community|programs in the Westernport area, Mornington, Rosebud, and Wallaroo Community House|in Westpark Hastings. The programs include Family Solutions, Good Shepherd Community House|and kinder/playgroup programs at Wallaroo Community Centre.||Peninsula Family Violence Program providing programs and housing for women victims of domestic|violence, Financial Counselling Services across the Mornington Peninsula and outreach Financial Counselling|in Partnership with South East Water at Rosebud, Dandenong, Frankston and SEW at Heatherton.||Financial Counselling:||The service may include either|* Information and referral, including to Money|* Sessional phone case work|* Sessional face to face or extended face to ace case work||Financial Counsellors will still assist clients to:|* manage their debts|* access hardship support for some bills or debts|* provide advice about credit and debt rights, including bankruptcy||Counsellors may also refer to other services such as family support, consumer rights and legal services|family violence or housing and homelessness services||Service will be accessed by our intake line on 13 765 595|The service is free and confidential.

* Good Shepherd Services at Mornington provide: |* Financial Counselling - Mornington Outreach, service for low income and vunerable people experiencing financial difficulties| - Providing options and advocating for people if they are unable to pay bills, fines or debt (e.g. credit cards)|* Family Solutions - Family Support Program|* Family Violence Support Program provides support and advocacy | |* Good Shepherd at Hastings provides a once only low interest loan for women (up to $2OOO) who are affected by family violence

Good Shephherd Microfinance

* Good Shepherd Microfinance sponcered by NAB helps eligable clients by providing small, very low interest loans for items such as: | White goods| furniture | computers| medical espenses| vocational education| second cars or repairs|* This loan may be helpful for our clients who need more money than we can provide with the No Interest Loan, or who do not fit our criteria||* This service is Australia wide| It was formely provided from Dandenong, (for our area is) but is now available in Hastings||* NILS Pathways is a No Interest Loan for eligable women establishing themselves after family violence |* Loan up to $2 for general purposes|* Loan only available once

Mornington Community Fresh Food Program

Free fresh fruit and vegetables.
High quality fresh food is donated by farmers, wholesalers, markets and supermarkets and distributed through the SecondBite Program.
The nutritious fresh food is available free to all community members weekly at 10am.
Please bring your own shopping bags.

Western Port Community Support provides emergency relief to the marginalised individuals and families who are experiencing disadvantage within the Community. We also provide a comprehensive support, information and advocacy service. All services are Free, Confidential, Impartial and Independent. Our endeavour is to at all times offer practical help whilst providing our clients with both a confidential and supportive environment. We always respect the right of our clients to make their own decisions.
